PostSubject: Drink With Me [Open]   Tue Jul 30, 2013 5:19 pm

The RP will start out with Nei-chan and Kat meeting at the bar, but everyone should feel free to join in our randomness~ ^_^

***

It was rare for Arthur to call her to perform more than one night in a row, but Nei-chan had immediately agreed to come in when Arthur had asked. The blond had called her last minute to inform her that another of the regulars had called off sick and could not perform, and could she please ask Kiku to inform Nara that Nei-chan was more needed that night (with an added reassurance that he would rework the schedule for the rest of the week at some later point). Nei-chan had done so (not that Arthur needed her to actually tell Kiku when the blond knew he was talking to him already), and had promised to arrive early to learn the routine. Luckily for her, Arthur had devised a new lineup, and so instead he had asked for her to wander as she usually did. She had thanked him profusely for his foresight, and promised to have Kiku come in at some point in person to thank him (as well as learn the new, rearranged schedule for his 'family').

She appreciated Arthur, particularly his knack for playing his own employees to their strengths. The blond's observant nature allowed for his employees to be comfortable in their roles, but also for his guest's experiences to be all the more pleasant. No one appreciated a non-performer attempting a performance on stage, especially when they paid good money to watch quality! Occasionally, Arthur liked to mix things up, and Nei-chan found herself on stage rather than working the crowds. But she did not mind such performances, especially since the regulars that enjoyed her liked her more 'innocent' shows. Of course, she knew to show some skin, and to flirt as she did so, in order to keep the less innocent crowd attentive to her. Usually for this reason, Arthur either had her simply wandering the crowds or had her partner with someone else. That night thankfully, her task was simply to wander and to flirt, putting her right in her usual element.

She took a seat at the bar with a heavy sigh, waving down the bartender to order her traditional drink. She would have preferred one of the many smaller tables, but the club's patrons took up nearly every single one. Ah, well at least business that night was good! Arthur would surely be pleased about that, though she suspected it was because the man had Alfred as his headliner that night. Alfred was quite a popular performer, especially when he wore his cowboy costume! A light flush dusted her cheeks at the thought, but she quickly pushed it aside as her drink arrived. Even while off her feet for the moment, Nei-chan knew her focus needed to remain on the customers...and on her fellow employees. Taking a slow sip of her drink, she gave a small smile to a man seated a few stools down. She had felt his eyes on her, and by the way his face turned scarlet as she caught his eye, he had not been expecting her to catch on so quickly.

((Uncreative title is so uncreative...apologies for that and for the rather lame start D: *crawls off into a corner*))

Yekaterina had just started working at the thorny rose, but she already felt right at home. She liked this bar, and while the shows weren't exactly exciting for the older woman but she was happy to see that customers were still the same no matter where she works.

And even though this kind of environment encouraged flirty behaviour, she felt it would be best to remain professional and be herself. No one has ever complained about her bar-tending before, so she didn't feel any need to change. The Ukrainian was a funny girl, funny in a sense that even when she wasn't trying to flirt or catch anyone's eyes -she managed to draw more than enough attention and she was oblivious to it all. But she easily noticed one of the employees sitting at her bar.

"Hello, what would you like?" One of her favourite things about the bar was that the sound of the stage wasn't as loud, so the bartenders and the customers have no need to yell at each other, it was a nice place.

She looked at the woman, her hands busy at work on another drink, since it was a co-worker she decided to put her face to memory, she was quite lovely, she would say that this particular person was Japanese, when one has worked on a cruise for as long as Yekaterina has, they can tell the difference between many ethnic groups. And for whatever reason many Japanese men have hit on her, so she was quite familiar with the culture.

Nei-chan gave the bartender a sweet smile when she was asked for her order. "A strawberry daiquiri, ah..." She paused to examine the woman's nametag, still smiling. "Yekaterina-san." She did not know her last name (or at least, she was not supposed to know), and so she did her best with the honorifics. "Forgive me for being so informal. It is very nice to meet you." She gave the bartender a small bob of her head, as much of a bow as she could manage in her current seated position. She waited patiently as the woman worked, and she found herself watching the woman's hands as she deftly mixed a drink. Nei-chan, though a splendid cook, always found herself impressed by how easily and fluidly the bartenders moved, mixing everything in the exact right proportions to create a sensational drink. She supposed the schooling helped (she had heard there were classes), but still, moving seamlessly was a form of art akin to dancing.

"Thank you!" She smiled sweetly as she took a sip. The drink was mixed to perfection; she would have to leave the woman a generous tip. "It is quite busy at this time of night, ne?" She giggled, hiding her lips behind her hand. Though the bar's seating was full, it appeared that everyone already held a drink in his or her hand. Nei-chan waved and smiled at a few of the patrons, earning herself a few smiles or rose-tinted blushes back. "But it looks like everyone already has a drink. Do you like any particular drink, Yekaterina-san?" She took another sip of her own while she waited for the woman to answer. Nei-chan knew that some of the bartenders refused to drink while working, but others would occasionally mix themselves something. She wondered if this woman might join her for a drink? If she did not want to pay, Nei-chan was willing to do so. Still, the opportunity to get to know her co-worker was one Nei-chan did not wish to pass up, especially while she happened to have a lull in business.

She sipped her drink for awhile as she waited, occasionally catching the eye of the man a few stools down and giving him a sweet smile. At first, he turned away quickly, but as he drank more and small intervals passed of their little game, he seemed to grow bolder. Nei-chan supposed that if there weren't others sitting between them, the man might have moved to sit closer to her. Instead, she continued to shoot him shy smiles and kind waves, promising herself that if he remained at the bar longer than she, she would be sure to greet him and give him her attention. She noticed out of the corner of her eye another man silently encouraging the first, and she briefly wondered if they were friends. She gave the second man another shy smile, hiding behind her hand and bringing a soft flush to her cheeks.

She turned her attention back to the bartender, watching as she went about her duties. Nei-chan marveled at how many tasks the bartenders seemed to need to do, though she supposed Arthur had something to do with that. The club's owner, she noticed, hired people who could do multiple jobs, rather than just one. Though some of this, she supposed, could be coincidence or pure luck, mostly she knew Arthur simply chose his employees well. The blond certainly was observant, observant enough to notice a regular and to flirt with her (even though he himself had no interest in women, she discovered). Nei-chan found herself wondering what other task Yekaterina performed at the club, though she refrained from asking.

((If she goes by Katya/if Katya would be on her nametag instead, I'll edit my post ^^))

"Call me Katya, we are comrades in arms working to make this night a good one for all of our customers, da?" Katya was used to people bobbing their heads in greetings, which only seemed to convince her more that the woman had to be Japanese. She laughed kindly, remembering the first time one of her customers bowed to her she was so embarrassed that she remained flabbergasted for the rest of the night. "So no need to be formal."

She quickly went to work Strawberry daiquiris were one of the more simpler orders. Her hands moved effortlessly, adding in all the ingredients. She always took care when making drinks, but she took even more care for he co-workers drink. First impressions were always important, and if there was one thing that Yekaterina still lacked in this new country and environment was friends. She gave the drink, and topped it off with a umbrella that complimented her co-worker's outfit.

She was thanked for her work and Katya smiled and replied, "You're very welcome!" And before anyone else could call her away the woman struck up a conversation with her. Which made the Ukrainian all the more glad.

"It is quite busy at this time of night, ne?"

"But it looks like everyone already has a drink. Do you like any particular drink, Yekaterina-san?

She looked around the bar too, grabbing her washcloth, she gave the surface she worked on a quick wipe. "Oh this is nothing. At least here I have room to work, so it doesn't feel as crowded as it could be." Someone appeared at the bar, and glanced at her looking a little lost. "Excuse me for a minute." Yekaterina moved down the bar and took his order, she smiled at him kindly and couldn't notice his blushing in the lighting, she just assumed that his stumbling over words was just from the drinks and the girls. He paid for his order and gave her a generous tip. she thanked him and moved back towards her co-worker, she noticed their exchange though.

"You are very good at that." Yekaterina was impressed by all the ladies and gentlemen. Their flirting seemed so simple for them, she's never felt the need to flirt with others, her old male co-workers didn't flirt with their customers so she didn't feel the need to flirt like some of her old female co-workers did. It didn't seem to make a difference anyway. People were drawn to her,... or so everyone would tell her.

"Oh! But you asked me about drinks, da? I am fond of many, but I'm trying to cut back a little, not good for me." She didn't look too thrill about the fact, but a doctor told her to cut back unless she wants to die like most Russians over fifty do, liver failure.

A light flush dusted Nei-chan's cheeks, but she gave a nod of acknowledgment at Katya's request. She would do her best, though part of Nei-chan's charm was that she was almost overly formal with everyone, even the other patrons. Only a few people, mostly co-workers, had managed to win the more affectionate suffixes from her...though some (Alfred came to mind) had insisted until she had relented purely to stop them from fussing. "Hai, I will do my best, Katya-san!" She gave the other woman a shy smile, silently asking if her new level of informality was enough for her. If Katya wanted her to be less formal, she promised herself that she would attempt...though she doubted she would be very successful. Her gaze traveled from Katya to the patrons gathered around the bar, and she made a show of nodding to each and every one. Even though she was taking a break, she was still technically on the floor.

Nei-chan smiled and nodded as Katya moved off to help some of the other patrons. The only downside to attempting to converse with the other woman during their work was the constant (but necessary) interruptions. Unfortunately for Katya, Nei-chan only appeared at the club, and so their window of opportunity was limited to the shifts they worked together. Still, they would have most of the night, that is, if Katya's shift lasted as long as Nei-chan's own would. She sipped her drink, careful to continue her quiet flirting with the patrons around her as she waited. The man seated a few stools away from her kept glancing in her direction, though she pretended not to notice. She would have to make it a point to speak with him before he left the club. Arthur would be pleased if she could help the club gain a few more regulars that night.

She flushed lightly at Katya's compliment, covering her mouth with her hand to stifle a few giggles. "Ah, Katya-san is too kind! I am not nearly as good as some of the others." She winked, nodding in the direction of some of her coworkers. Before she had become a permanent employee of the Thorny Rose, she had spent several nights in the audience, observing. Her close watch of the employees had attracted the attention of the club's owner, though she had done her best after to be more secretive about her observing. Still, Arthur had noticed...something that had both made her job harder and secretly pleased her beyond belief. A club owner that took notice of such minute details would surely care about the safety and well-being of those in his employ. Nei-chan leaned over the counter a bit, so that she could speak to Katya in a more hushed voice. "In truth, Katya-san...Kirkland-san chooses his employees well. Our skills may differ; some of us might be more flirtatious than others...but we are all very good at what we are chosen to do. Kirkland-san is wise in that respect."

She leaned away, giggling and covering her mouth once more. Any patrons (or other employees for that matter) who noticed the exchange would merely see it as flirting. She took a sip of her drink, a small pout tugging at the corners of her lips at Katya's answer to her earlier question. "Ah, I see, Katya-san. In truth, I prefer lighter drinks, like this one." She lifted her glass a little before continuing, "It is perfectly made, and it does not impair you the way stronger alcohols do. I suppose that is important to me, so that I can give everyone the attention they deserve." She gave the patrons around her a gentle smile, waving at a few newcomers who had taken up residence at the bar. The man she had previously flirted with still watched her, and she sent a subtle wink his way. "Katya-san should treat herself sometime though, ne? Even if it is something lighter, perhaps just one drink would not hurt. I would be glad to treat Katya-san to a drink, especially one like this one." She finished off her own drink, carefully setting the empty glass on the counter. For a moment, she contemplated ordering another one, purely for the sake of tipping Katya and remaining at the bar. But she pushed the thought aside, instead waving over another server and asking politely for a menu. She could order something light to eat and remain at the bar with Katya...and not risk drinking too much for the sake of conversation.

Katya blinked at the statement made by ... oh shoot, she forgot to ask for her name. She peeked at the nametag and saw the name. Hmmm...Nei-chan? While Katya wasn't 100% sure on how to say her name,  she decided to put it aside for now. She was awfully curious about what Nei-chan said about Mr.Kirkland. "Really? So he thinks I am good at my job?"

Of course, she's not terrible at what she does, but still this was a new job and her boss wasn't like any other boss she's had. But if what Nei-chan is saying is true, Katya would be very relieved. Besides relief, another thought fluttered across her mind...Does Nei-chan like Mr. Kirkland? Not many would describe their employers as 'wise' and wise was such a nice word, but maybe her co-worker was just being as kind as she seems to be.

As Nei-chan complimented the strawberry daiquiris that she had prepared, Katya smiled. "Yes I do, believe fruity drinks suit you, Nei-chan!" Suddenly worry washed over her, did I say that right? If I am lucky she'll pass it off as my accent. She shook her head and followed along with the conversation. "Nyet, nyet! I can't have one of my co-workers pay for a drink for me! Thank you for the offer but I would feel bad." Money is such a precious commodity, and Katya sends every little  extra back home. Nei-chan might have someone she needs to care for, whether herself or otherwise.   Nei-chan was just being polite, in offering her a drink. "I treat myself plenty, you no worry about me, ok?"

She noticed a new patron, excused herself and went back to work.

Alexander the Great
cocktail
1/2 oz creme de cacao
1/2 oz coffee liqueur
1/2 oz cream
1 1/2 oz vodka
Shake with ice and strain into a lowball glass
The woman gave her a generous tip, and Katya moved onto the next customer. After doing her rounds she noticed that Nei-chan was looking at the food menu. Katya smiled brightly as she returned to her co-workers side (wiping the counters as she went). "Good choice, the food is quite good, da?" All her friends had lied to her, as far as she knew, England has excellent food. The Thorny Rose was proof of that.

Nei-chan nodded enthusiastically at Katya. "Hai, he does! Kirkland-san might seem rather gruff at times but really, he does think you are good at your job. He wouldn't have hired you if he hadn't seen something special in you, ne?" She giggled, then leaned to whisper to Katya. "He must protect his business, but he really does care for all of us in some way. He is rather like family, I suppose." She winked, tilting her head. To anyone else, she would have appeared to be winking at another patron, even the man who continued to eye her from the other end of the bar. But her meaning held a hint, almost imperceptibly subtle. She knew Arthur quite well, though it would be more accurate to say that Arthur knew her and her family better than anyone else. While Kiku wished to keep his involvement in the club and its affairs minimal, Nei-chan represented the need for the Honda family to befriend others, even co-workers. Kiku would never outright reveal his secret to anyone, but Nei-chan could always drop hints. She sincerely hoped that she could become better friends with Katya. She thought Kiku would like her, at least as someone to talk to.

She blinked in surprise as Katya mentioned fruity drinks suiting her, but her surprise quickly turned to giggles. She leaned back in her seat, smiling as she noticed a slightly panicked look cross Katya's features. "Ah, Katya-san is right! I suppose fruity drinks do suit me. I think it is good then that I like them, ne?" She did find the taste of fruity drinks pleasant, but she had other motives for only choosing them. While her family generally preferred harder drinks (Kaze especially), they were also better known to the club as the more outgoing performers. Nei-chan reasoned that drinking lighter drinks, especially in moderation, would allow her to be vigilant and to temper her performances. She had never experienced the sensation of being drunk, though from all of the stories she heard, she figured she was not missing much in avoiding becoming completely intoxicated. She liked strawberry the best; something a little sweet but not overbearing. She knew that bartenders enjoyed making more complex drinks--customers tipped better when their complicated orders were filled right--but Nei-chan tipped highly even for her simple drink. No bartender had ever made a bad strawberry daiquiri, though the Thorny Rose had the best ones, in her opinion.

She waved off Katya's apology, hiding a shy smile behind her hand. "I did not mean to upset you, Katya-san! I simply wished to offer because your drinks are so good, and I know that paying for your own drink with your tips is not very nice. I would be happy to buy you a drink." She decided not to insist again if Katya refused. She did not honestly want to upset Katya, or to imply that the woman could not pay for herself. Nei-chan was fortunate to be living off of a slightly higher income than most, and she knew that Kiku liked for his family to contribute back to their place of employment. She waited for Katya to answer, then nodded and waved lightly as the woman was called off to do her job. She turned her attention to the patron down the bar, giving him another smile. By his failed attempt to wave back, she could tell he was fairly drunk. A quick glance around told her that one of the club's bouncers was already watching him, and so she merely gave him another smile before waiting for Katya to return.

She never could choose from the many foods on the menu. Their chef made the most amazing main dishes, but she went straight for some of the smaller portioned items. She did not want to eat too much, but something small to snack on would allow her to remain at the bar with Katya. Finally, she made her decision, placing her order with the server before turning her attention back to the bar. "Hai, the food is wonderful! We are most fortunate to have one of the best chefs. Of course, Kirkland-san would not hire anyone less than excellent, but he really does a great job making food!" She kindly left out the story she had heard about Arthur's inability to cook for others. The club's owner had other, more important things to do, so surely forgetting to turn off the stove once in awhile could be forgiven. "I will have to visit on a night I am not working, so I can order one of his signature dishes. I hear his favorites are pasta...not so good for me right now, but I would like to try them sometime!" She took a peek at the man down the bar out of the corner of her eye, noting with both relief and amusement that he was currently resting against the polished counter. "Would Katya-san like anything? I can always call the servers back..." She felt guilty for not asking before, though Katya had been helping other patrons at the time.

Katya laughed with the girl. "We should have a date then, with you offering so much! When we are not working..." A thought struck the bartender and her face blushed a little with embarrassment. She leaned forward to speak quietly. "Actually, London is so big that I get lost all the time, and...I haven't found good clothing stores. You look so well dressed maybe you could help, da?" She didn't want to say which clothing she found it particularly difficult to find. All of her bras were getting worn out and she needed to replace them quickly. She was on her last good one, while all the others the wires were sticking out and giving her bruises... Not that her wardrobe was fairing much better, used to living life in uniforms or out in the country, she was now shy to engage in a proper social life just because of how poorly she dressed.

She left to take another order and mixed a couple more drinks. A bit distracted by the thought of having a pretty friend like Nei-chan to walk around London with. Once the drinks were done she return to her co-worker.

(( HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY * IS SHOT TO DEATH IN A CORNER:))

Alfred sighed as he finished up his performance for that night. Man there was just so many people in today. He figured it was due to the fact it was a long weekend and everyone was taking that chance to party and relax. It didn't make his job easier though with the extra effort he had to put in to make sure his costume stayed in one piece. The last thing he wanted was to trouble Nei chan again. Pulling the costume off and hanging it up in the dry clean section of the dressing room. Alfred pulled on his regular clothing, consisting of dark blue jeans, a simple button down shirt and his all time fav black hoodie. The dark colouring helped him blend into the ground and with the hood up, no one really took notice which suited him just fine cause he could do with some peace and quiet right about now.

He was gonna get a drink before heading back to his apartment when he spotted Nei chan at the bar " hey! I didn't know you were here. Did you have some kind of special performance lined up?" Before she question his clothing state, he winked and leaned in close " Im undercover, it would't do for all those people here that the guy who was practically naked and me are one of the same yea?" Turning to the bartender on duty that night he placed his order " hey can I get a rum and coke? I have to get back later so I don't wanna get too hammered" From the back though he was sure he never saw this bartender before. Those curves.. men didn't have those curves... and if the back was anything to go with... the front must be even more awesome. " Are you new or something? I haven't seen you around before"

Nei-chan warmly smiled at Katya. The woman had a warm laugh that invited a person to laugh along, a welcoming one that made her well-suited for the patrons. A light flush dusted her cheeks at Katya's suggestion of a date. Nei-chan herself was straight, but Kiku was not. It was times like these that she wished he would just show up in person and perform, allowing others to get to know the real him. "I would be honored, Katya-san! I would have to ask my brother, but I do not think he will mind very much." Nei-chan was 'older' than Kiku, but he kept track of their performance schedules and made sure that the obligations of his individual personae did not conflict. An outing with Katya might be innocent enough, unless the woman had something in mind that could reveal Nei-chan's true sex. Still, Nei-chan was not worried. She had disguised her true sex up to this point, with only a select few people knowing the truth. She could easily go on an outing with Katya, so long as she maintained her disguise. The club had given her enough practice, at least.

She flushed lightly at Katya's compliment. "Ah, Katya-san, you are too kind! Besides, I think that your clothing is far more practical and comfortable!" Nei-chan's outfits were not uncomfortable, though she did not wear them often through the streets of London unless she was headed for the club. The looks she received when she wore them were appropriate for someone in her line of work, but not exactly so for a casual outing. Kiku would have to make something entirely new for her, something that kept to her style but that would not draw nearly as much attention as her more elaborate costumes. "I will do my best to help Katya-san with whatever she wishes." She bowed, hiding her smile behind her hand. She caught the wave of a patron out of the corner of her eye, and nodded as Katya moved off to resume mixing drinks. She sipped her drink, contemplating Katya's proposal. An outing with the woman would be a nice change for Kiku, even if he would refuse to go as himself.

A light tap on her shoulder caused her to jump a little, though she relaxed immediately when she turned to face the handsome blond. "Alfred-san!" She spoke quietly, abandoning her drink for the moment to give him her full attention. Her volume was just loud enough for Alfred's ears only. "Your performance was amazing as always. I am always pleased to be in the crowds when you are on stage." A light flush dusted her cheeks as she patted the empty stool beside her, inviting him to sit. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the patron a few stools down frown at Alfred. Nei-chan quickly winked at him, blowing him a small kiss before hiding behind her hand. Arthur would NOT be happy if a patron complained because his employees were socializing more with each other than working the crowds. Still, the situation could work in her favor. If the man viewed Alfred as competition, he would put more effort into catching her attention. However, if she had been reading his attentions correctly up to that point, the man was more the viewing type rather than the touching. Nei-chan liked his type best, and she suspected that he was not the type to be put off for long if his eye candy was not paying attention to him. If he wanted her eyes solely on him, he could always pay for a private session.

"Ah, well...Kirkland-san called me and asked for me to fill in for someone else, but then he rearranged the schedule to fill it with people who are better suited for the stage." She smiled shyly at Alfred, moving her hand back to her drink. One could never be too careful in a strip club, after all. "I most enjoy talking to patrons, though I am not uncomfortable performing when needed." She omitted that Nara was originally on the schedule, not completely sure how Alfred felt about her cousin. "I am glad that he called for me. I was able to watch you perform, Alfred-san." She giggled softly, observing him quietly as he ordered a drink. She sipped her own, letting her gaze settle on the man a few stools down. He still watched her, though he quickly looked down at his drink when she caught him staring. Ah, so he was trying to work up his courage! She sent a sweet smile his way before turning her attention back to her current companions.

((NOOOO NO GETTING SHOT IN A CORNER OR ANYWHERE ALFRED *sends Nei-chan to give the kiss of life* <3 Sorry this took awhile guys...life has conspired to murder me as of late D: And THANK YOU FOR JOINING US, ALFRED~! The Ukrainian wondered by what Nei-chan meant by 'asking her brother'? But she quickly let go of the thought since everyone's family was different and it was none of her business. But she was quite glad that Nei-chan seemed excited about the outing as well. Katya always seemed to lack female friends, so she was glad she made a good impression on her co-worker.

When Nei-chan was approached by someone Katya couldn't quite recognize, the ukranian gave them there needed space and filled a couple more orders as well. When the man called out to her with his order, she was quite glad to oblige, but when he asked her a more personal question she was a bit surprised. She turned around to face the two and tilted her head.

"Me? Da --yes, I am new." She wondered if he was a regular customer, but then he seemed quite friendly with Nei-chan...She stepped closer and handed him his rum&coke, she tilted her head again. He was familiar. Had she seen him before? And then it hit her, she smiled and asked not too loudly, since there was an obvious effort to be discreet. "Were you on stage just now?" Katya didn't have time to watch but the few times she glanced on stage was enough, since she was quite good with faces.

She couldn't really compliment him on his performance since she didn't watch much of it so instead she said with a kind smile. "Thanks for all your hardwork! Is the rum&coke all you will be having tonight?"

Yup he was right... the front was totally impressive. Her face had a unique look to it that made her attractive as well as very interesting. It wasn't a common type of face and Alfred found that very appealing. " I thought as much since there is no way I would forget a face like that" he stated with a grin. " yup just the rum and coke for now. I have some homework to do back home so I should keep a straight head. Did you like my show?" A teasing smile tugged at his lips he couldn't help it. Teasing was fun and harmless " I'm sorta taking a break before I have to leave for the night and the last thing I want is for any of the customers to put two and two together. It gets draining to have to keep rejecting their advances"

Alfred settled himself next to Nei chan fully aware that there were many of the customers who didn't like that since Nei chan had a large fan base aswell. Well tough... he was gonna sit here regardless anyway. It wasn't often that he had a chance to speak to Nei chan like this in fact.. he was sure he had abit of a crush on her. " I'm glad you liked it, took me a full day to get all the moves down. Not sure why customers like the whole cowboy outfit but hey if it works it works right?" He gave her a happy grin pleased that all the practice was not in vain. " So how are things with you right now?" Before he could get an answer from her however he felt a warmth against him and he turned with a slight flush on his cheeks.

Alester Warner.. he was a regular customer of Alfreds who didn't miss a single show or meeting even if he was busy. Alfred was flattered to say the least since the man was good looking, rich and fit but there was a downside. He was married and Alfred made it a point to not get involved with married people since it broke up families. " Alfred.. " " Hey Alester so you spotted me after all huh?" " I can spot you anywhere" That figures.. Alfred thought to himself keeping his grin in place " Oh yea this is Nei chan, Nei chan this is Alester, he is one of my customers"

Nei-chan could practically feel the stares being leveled in her direction when Alfred settled next to her. She flushed lightly, hiding her mouth shyly behind her hand. Though she would normally feel rather guilty for paying more attention to Alfred instead of her own clients, she knew that a little friendly competition amongst them was not so harmful to Arthur's business. She noted that the blond took the seat between herself and her most obvious admirer, making his 'subtle' admiration nearly impossible. Nei-chan sensed that the man would either outright come to speak with her, or remain at the bar until he could speak with her alone. Either way, he would either pay for numerous drinks or her company. She took another sip of her drink, letting her lips linger on the edge of the glass in a way that might appear innocent to most everyone save for those who knew her style best. Once she settled the glass back on the counter, she returned her attention fully to Alfred.

"Perhaps they like it because it matches you so well." She tilted her head in thought. "I am afraid I do not know much of cowboys, except for stories from my home. Cowboys were thought of as wild,, daring people that were as quick to be kind as they were to protect. They would ride for days, living in the wild with only their horses or other cowboys for company." She giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. "That is not to say that Alfred-san has ever slept in the wild. But the idea of a free spirit suits Alfred-san well." She knew that her reasoning was perhaps only secondary to the real reason Alfred's costume was chosen for him, though she kept her thoughts to herself. Arthur's costume choices for them (excluding Nei-chan's 'family') were often based on their nationalities, emphasizing the exotic entertainment the club boasted. However, Alfred's costume was likely chosen for him because it made him look good. She had no doubt that Arthur had taken Alfred's personality into account, but the main purpose of any of their costumes was to make them more desirable for the club's patrons.

Before she could answer Alfred's question, the blond's attention was pulled away by a customer. Nei-chan did not recognize the man, but he and Alfred seemed to be on familiar terms. She took a sip of her drink, letting the small amount of nervous tension fall away from her shoulders. Nei-chan had been fortunate enough not to attract troublemakers, though she knew that occasionally customers became too grabby or disruptive. Thankfully, Arthur employed very effective bouncers, but ultimately it was up to the performers to alert the security should a problem arise. Naturally, the approach of someone unfamiliar to her casually-dressed coworker made Nei-chan nervous, but Alfred's words set her at ease once more. It seemed that while most of Alfred's usual clients did not recognize the blond out of his costume, this man could easily identify him. Nei-chan wondered how close they were, though a quick glimpse into Alfred's expression told her the blond likely knew the man only as a regular, and nothing more intimate.

With practiced grace, Nei-chan stood from her seat, bowing to Alester. "Ah, it is an honor to meet you, Alester-san. Alfred-san is truly lucky to know such an attentive man." She smiled at both of them shyly, hiding her mouth with her hand. Her gaze quickly settled on Alfred, silently asking the blond if he wished for her to leave him alone. A small feeling in her gut told her to remain, that Alfred would not want to be left with his client but could not think of a suitable excuse to send him away. But she did not wish to come between Alfred and Alester, especially if Alester wished to pay Alfred for his time. The money would be good for the blond, and of course, for Arthur and the club. Still, she knew it would be rude to simply act as if she knew Alfred's wishes, and so she remained seated, the shy smile still touching her expression.
