Personality:

• As a friend, Francis is outgoing and energetic. He loves to make people happy and tends to spoil the people he likes. He's as forthcoming as he is nosy. He enjoys meddling in other people's affairs because he honestly wants to help everyone. The downside is he's very one-sided when it comes to his friendships, while he would want and expect to know everything about you, he's reluctant to share anything about himself.
  
• As a doctor, Francis is very studious and observant. He can easily read people's body language and instinctively tell if a patient is getting worse or better. Francis isn't a crazy doctor, he's just willing to bend the rules if it means saving a life. Working with him would be trying because he doesn't share his inner monologues so people just have to hope he knows what he's doing. When he was working at the hospital, the staff were frustrated with him because of his high success rate, and the fact that he fell 'ill' so often and easily.
  
• As a teacher, Francis is very open on matters of politics. He enjoys splitting his class and making them debate with one an another, even if it meant putting science class on hold. He's strict but fair, and most of the students enjoy how passionate he is about them. Not the subject, but the students. He is easily one of the nicest teachers, even though his French accent makes it hard for them to understand his rants sometimes.
  
  

Background: Francois always wanted to be a teacher, but because of the nature of his powers he decided to become a doctor instead. He was immune to all kinds of colds and viruses and his body could heal itself in a matter of seconds. He realised in high school that he had a real chance at saving people's lives. And it seemed natural to go into an occupation that would help him learn how to save even more.

After many years in school and a couple of years of work in Paris, he was caught giving a blood transfusion to a dying patient. The patient made a full recovery at the cost that Francis's powers were discovered by the hospital and the community. Since mutants weren't allowed to give blood, many reacted violently to the fact that Francis was giving illegal blood transfusions to patients. there was a great worry that the mutant gene could be spread through blood. Francois had to leave the country. He left for NYC under a new false identity. Francis Bonnefoy.

It would have been too difficult to continue being a doctor, the false documentation more difficult to provide and prove. So at last, he got to be what he always wanted. A teacher. Working as a science teacher in a good high school, Francis has access to a lab. Even though he can't continue being a doctor, doesn't mean he'll give up his research on medicine.
