The Rules of the Realm

There is no god-modding or power playing. Keep the fight realistic to the strengths and weaknesses of each of the characters involved. If you're in a fight, make it fair, unless the other person would not mind you winning. Keep weaponry realistic to the realm, as well as injuries you might sustain.

Any plot points that involve a very specific event happening to a specific character (e.g. being turned into a vampire/werewolf) need to be discussed with that person either in PM or in the Plot Central board. All changes must be posted in the Plot Central board, as well as an update posted on the person's profile.

If you want to 'borrow' something specific to another character, please be sure to be respectful of that person. While asking is nice (though not always necessary), it is never a nice thing to take someone else's idea and not use it the way it was intended to be used. If you have questions, contact that person via PM. (In other words, be respectful of RPers headcanons)

A list of your relationships, pairs, friendships, enemies, etc., can be posted in the Plot Central area, so that everyone else can quickly view where you stand in the AU.

A timeline of main plot points or important points will be posted in the Plot Central portion of the board. If you have an event that is not listed, post on the thread so that the admins can add it.

All major plot twists will be posted as plot twists in the Plot Central board. Pay close attention to this board to keep up with the timeline of this AU.

Keep in mind, there are still those who would rather have true, developing relationships with others (not just flings, one night stands, etc). Please be respectful of anyone who wishes to be strictly in a relationship, and don't pair with others. On that same note, there will be people who will not necessarily want to be pinned down in a relationship situation when it does not fit their character. Please also respect their choices. If you're not sure where you stand or if you are in agreement over whether you are in a relationship or a pairing, talk to the other person. (Remember, one relationship per AU, but you may pair with as many people as you would like SO LONG as you are not committed or have permission from the other person)

VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, HUNTERS, AND NEUTRAL HUMANS

All of the species are intelligent, though occasionally instincts will take over. This is a common trait among all three, and their actions depend highly on personality and age. Please keep reactions realistic and true to your own character's personality/age.

Any plot points that involve a very specific event happening to a group (e.g. an attack on the werewolves by the vampires) must be discussed in the Plot Central part of the board. This is so everyone has a chance to give their input, decline, make suggestions, etc. and to keep from having god-modding.

If you choose to be part of the Hunters, be sure to specify that in your profile as well. If you join the Hunters later, you must make the appropriate addition to your profile.

The specifics on the species that inhabit the realm and their characteristics can be found in a separate post in this board. If you have a unique trait (e.g. counting disorder) that is not listed beneath your specific species but you would like to use it, you may. There are many differing stories surrounding vampires and werewolves and their habits, and as long as you have some lore to back it up you are welcome to use it.

The admins reserve the right to edit these rules at any time, should the need arise.
